We'll explore big ideas through interviews and discussions with critical thinkers, content makers and fans of movies, TV shows, video games, books linked to current events.
Topics include the role in media in shaping our perceptions of the world around us (eg: expectations vs reality in fictional media), highlighting new creative creative forms produced by local and overseas content producers (digital sampling, fan fiction and genre fiction writing, video game modding, remixing, fan videomaking, fan pilgrimage traveling, remixes and mash-ups, memes etc), the globalisation of Japanese pop culture (anime, manga, cosplay, video games etc), as well as interviews and discussions with researchers and analysts of media and pop culture.
