Moody Folk/rock song written about the struggles on the Streets of Belfast, seen through the eyes of two best friends as they grow up together.
Conn played acoustic guitar, accompanying musicians as they sang in his fathers Public House in Ireland. As a Singer-Songwriter Conn teamed up with a fellow Singer-Songwriter Finbarr Magee Both qualified medical doctors, they formed a duet called the ‘Medicine Men’ Their first album was released in 2000 titled ‘The Right Time’ and subsequently they did a short tour of Australia.
Since emigrating to Australia, Conn has been performing solo at both local and mainland Festivals. He released his first album ‘The Fishermans Tale' in 2007 with sales helping to raise funds for Refugees and Asylum Seekers. ‘The Ballad of Malcolm Keno’ won an award at the Californian Unisong Song Competition and Port Fairy Festival Song Awards. ‘Van Diemen’s Land' won Peoples choice award at the George Town Folk Festival.
Recently he has recorded a new album ‘Views from a bridge'. The first track written for this new album ‘Men of the Derwent’ won both ‘song of the year’ and ‘Peoples Choice’ at the 2015 Folk Federation of Tasmania Song Awards.
